10. Can the hooks be molded to show our company logo and/or our company colors?

Yes, company logos and special colors are possible.  However, this is considered a special order and a purchase of 1000 or more hooks is required.  You will also need to provide payment prior to the start of producing the order.  Special orders like this require a one-time cost for the mold insert which will produce the company’s name and/or logo.  This also will need to be purchased.

9. Are the hooks available as glow-in-the-dark?

Yes, glow-in-the-dark hooks can be produced.  However this is considered a special order and a purchase of 1000 or more hooks is required.  You will also need to provide payment prior to the start of producing the order.

8. Are the hooks available in colors other than safety yellow?

Yes, other colors can be produced.  However, this is considered a special order and a purchase of 1000 or more hooks is required.  You will also need to provide payment prior to the start of producing the order.

7. Is there any way to prevent the work lines from slipping off of the hooks?

YesEasy, One-Handed Usage.  Each end of the hook has a small hole in it just for this purpose.  Once the work lines are placed into the hook, simply use a tie wrap through the hole, across the line and around the body of the safety hook.  The work lines should be secured until you release them.

6. What is the hook usage temperature?

The glass-filled polyester material used to mold the hooks has a temperature range designated from -4° F (-20° C) to 392° F (200° C).

5. What are the load limits?
  • While the hooks are not designed for lifting, they can carry considerable maximum loads as shown below.

CS-6 55 25
CS-9 77 35
CS-12 220 100
CS-15 340 155
4. Can the hooks be used for lifting?

No, the hooks are only intended to bear static loads.  They are normally used to hold cables, wires, hoses, and other work lines off the ground and reduce tripping hazards.

3. Can I get just a few hooks to try them out?

Sure, you can purchase whatever number you need.  We offer a less than box quantity price just for this purpose.  However the price is more attractive if you purchase them in full boxes of 25 hooks.  Additional discounts are available on multiple quantity box orders.  Refer to our literature and price list.

2. What are the benefits of using the hooks?
  • Principally, the hooks are employed to elevate work lines, thus avoiding tripping hazards.  This feature is particularly useful in high activity areas or limited work areas such as during plant turnarounds and aboard ships and offshore rigs.
  • Because the hooks are molded of a glass-filled polyester, they are non-conductive and have smooth edges that will not cut or abrade the work lines.  They can be used to hold electrical lines, air lines, water hoses, welding leads, and hydraulic lines.  They are very easy to install almost anywhere and can be reused on many future jobs.
1. How many different sizes are available?

Four sizes are available — CS-6, CS-9, CS-12, and CS-15.  The number designation refers to the overall length of the hook in inches.  Each larger size is thicker and stronger for carrying loads.  Each larger size also has larger openings in the S-shapes.
